Pacific Standard Time, the massive multi-museum extravaganza of exhibits about art in Los Angeles between 1945 and 1980 (breathe), is moving into its home stretch. Many fine shows have already closed, this is to give a heads up on some that are closing soon:
Beatrice Wood, an always innovative artist in ceramics and other media, participated in the Dada movement of the 1920's, and has been working ever since. See the span of her work in Beatrice Wood: Career Woman-Drawings, Paintings, Vessels, and Objects at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. It closes on Saturday the 25th, when there’s also a food truck event at the site. It's in the Bergamot Station art complex at 2525 Michigan Ave, but from most bus lines enter off Olympic Blvd. near 26th St. Big Blue Bus 5 on Olympic is closest, there's more service (BBB 1 and Metro Rapid 704) at Santa Monica & 26th, and the 720 Wilshire Rapid bus is a few blocks further at Wilshire & 26th.

Fowler Museum at UCLA (whose exhibits are always good) has two PST exhibits closing Sunday, February 26, the larger being Mapping Another LA: The Chicano Art Movement. There's also the related exhibit Icons of the Invisible: Oscar Castillo, a great looking urban photography exhibit. You can get to the Fowler from any bus that serves UCLA, such as Metro line 2 from Hollywood and West Hollywood, Santa Monica Big Blue Buses 1 and 2 from Santa Monica, Culver City bus 6 up Sepulveda Boulevard, and Metro bus 762 from Sepulveda in the San Fernando Valley.
